Amos Bronson Alcott once quipped that, "success is sweet and sweeter if long delayed and gotten through many struggles and defeats." This is seemingly the daily mantra as well of various cause-oriented groups and non-governmental organisations who are trying hard to burn the flame despite their constant struggles and challenges. In fact, not to be outdone, many of these groups have joined the Internet bandwagon. They have now established online presence to present their causes, issues and concerns.

This is a great move for these groups to entice other potential members and to disseminate greater awareness of their noble goals. It should be noted that a legitimate cause-oriented group does not accept donations from corporations, governments and political parties. Relying on individual sponsors and foundation grants, they do not have much spare funds to spend in advertising through traditional media.

Hence, the Internet allows them to have a cheap yet very effective means to voice out. All they need to own is a website that people can go to. As long as the causes are clear and noble, people would find a way to get to their site given everybody's inclination for site-hopping these days. Except for the newly-formed, cause-oriented organisations do not even have to market themselves much if they have installed a website.

A website also allows these groups to have a convenient platform to provide updates on their actions. As normally the case in the past, people do not need to wait anymore for a magazine article to know what the cause-oriented groups are doing. Moreover, with possible online interaction from different individuals, the group members can accumulate more reasons why they should continue with their cause.
